Protection for children's accounts in HUAWEI AppGallery
|Protection for children's accounts in HUAWEI AppGallery|
To protect minors, HUAWEI AppGallery has enhanced the restriction of app downloads and installations for minors from version 188.8.131.522 onwards. HUAWEI AppGallery will restrict certain apps from being downloaded and installed based on the content rating rules when the person who is registered to use the account is aged below the age of majority in the local country/region. When you log in to HUAWEI AppGallery for the first time using a child account, a prompt will be displayed indicating that you are in Kids mode, and HUAWEI AppGallery will only display apps that are suitable for the age specified in your HUAWEI ID.
If you have set the age incorrectly, resulting in you being restricted from installing apps, you can perform the following to remove the restriction:
- Method 1: When you open HUAWEI AppGallery for the first time, a message will be displayed indicating that you are in Kids mode. Go to , touch the profile picture at the top to access Account center, scroll down to the bottom, and touch Log out to log out of your account (to ensure account security, you will be asked to enter your account name and password). After that, touch the profile picture again to access the Account center login screen and log in to an adult account.
- Method 2: Log out of your HUAWEI ID, go to , and select the option to allow all app installations. Then see if you can download the app you want. If so, log in to your HUAWEI ID again.
