Unable to connect a Huawei wireless keyboard through dialog box pairing |
Problem
Press and hold the Bluetooth pairing button for 3s to initiate Bluetooth pairing. The HUAWEI MateStation X fails to automatically display the keyboard pairing dialog box.
Cause
- The keyboard does not initiate a Bluetooth pairing broadcast.
- The keyboard is too far away from the host.
- The suppression time of the pairing dialog box lasts 90s from the moment when a pairing dialog box is displayed. The dialog box will not be displayed again within 90s if the user selects Cancel on the dialog box.
- An exception has occurred with the keyboard driver or an app on the HUAWEI MateStation X.
- The Bluetooth antenna of the HUAWEI MateStation X is loose.
Solution
- Press and hold down the Bluetooth pairing button for 3s to check whether the indicator blinks white. If so, it indicates that the Bluetooth pairing broadcast has been initiated successfully. If not, please refer to "The keyboard does not respond and the indicator does not flash" for more solutions.
- The Bluetooth macro distance of the keyboard is 50 cm. The keyboard may fail to be detected if the distance is above 50 cm.
- Wait for 90s and reinitiate the pairing.
- Restart and power on the HUAWEI MateStation X host to check whether the problem is resolved.
- Use PC Manager to update the keyboard's corresponding drivers and firmware. Restart, power off, and then power on the HUAWEI MateStation X host to check whether the problem is resolved.
- If the above solutions all fail to resolve the problem, take the purchase invoice to an authorized Huawei Customer Service Center for assistance.
