Enabling or disabling Airplane mode on a Windows computer |
Enable or disable Airplane mode
- Click the network or battery icon area on the right part of the taskbar and then click the Airplane mode icon. If the box for the icon is blue, it indicates that Airplane mode is enabled. If the box for the icon is white, it indicates that Airplane mode is disabled.
If your computer is running Windows 10, click the operation center icon on the right side of the taskbar, click Expand, and then click the Airplane mode icon to enable or disable Airplane mode.
- After Airplane mode is enabled, the network icon on the taskbar will become the airplane icon.
In Windows, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are available in Airplane mode.
Windows 11:
If Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are enabled in Airplane mode, the system will automatically remember your preferences, and enable Wi-Fi and Bluetooth the next time you enable Airplane mode.
To enable or disable Wi-Fi and Bluetooth in Airplane mode, click the airplane or battery icon on the right side of the taskbar, and then click the corresponding Wi-Fi and Bluetooth icons. If the box for the icon is blue, it indicates that the feature is enabled. If the box for the icon is white, it indicates that the feature is disabled.
Windows 10:
Every time you enable Airplane mode, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth will be automatically disabled. When Airplane mode is disabled, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth will be automatically enabled.
- To enable Bluetooth in Airplane mode, click the operation center icon on the right side of the taskbar, click Expand, and click the Bluetooth icon.
- To enable Wi-Fi in Airplane mode, click the airplane icon on the taskbar, and then click the Wi-Fi icon.
