Changing the location for saving desktop files on the computer |
- Press Win+E to open File Explorer, right-click Desktop, and choose Properties from the shortcut menu.
- Go to Location > Move, select a new location for saving the files, and click OK.
- To restore the original location, go to Properties > Location > Restore Default > OK. Do not use third-party management software to migrate desktop files. Otherwise, you may be unable to restore the location for saving the files to the default location.
- You are advised to move the files to a blank folder as this will avoid all files in the new folder being displayed on the desktop. If you click Restore Default, all files in the new folder will also be moved to the default folder.
- In the pop-up dialog box, click Yes. The system will automatically move all files from the old location to the new location.
