Notifications

  • Go to Settings > Notifications > HUAWEI FamCare and turn on all the switches.

  • Touch New message and turn on all the switches.
  • Set Importance to High.

Permissions

  • Go to Settings > Apps > Permissions > Autostart on your phone and turn on the switches for HUAWEI FamCare and HMS Core.

  • Go to Permissions, swipe down to the bottom of the screen, and enable Show on Lock screen, Display pop-up windows while running in the background, and Display pop-up window.

  • On the Restrict data usage screen, select WLAN and Mobile data.

Setting background cleanup protection

Touch the recent tasks key (of the three virtual keys at the bottom of the phone's screen, it is usually the key with three horizontal lines) to display recent tasks. Then touch and hold the HUAWEI FamCare app and lock it. (Note: Don't swipe left or right on the HUAWEI FamCare app on the recent tasks screen to clear it. Otherwise, you will not be able to receive messages from the watch in a timely manner.)

Setting background power consumption protection

  1. Go to Settings > Apps > Manage apps on your phone, touch HUAWEI FamCare and HMS Core respectively, touch Battery saver, and select No restrictions.

  2. Go to Settings > Battery & performance on your phone, touch the Settings icon in the upper right corner, and set Turn off mobile data when device is locked and Clear cache when device is locked to Never.
