Setting up background protection for the HUAWEI FamCare app

If notifications for new messages and incoming calls are not pushed from HUAWEI FamCare, it may be because the app has been cleared by the system. In this case, you'll need to set up background protection for it with the following steps.

For other phone users

  1. Open Settings or Phone Manager, find the auto-startup section, and grant the auto-launch permission for HUAWEI FamCare and HMS Core.
  2. Open Settings or Phone Manager, find the power saving management section, and add HUAWEI FamCare and HMS Core to the list of protected apps.
  3. Access the recent tasks screen, swipe down on or hold down on HUAWEI FamCare to set up background protection for it.

For iPhone users

Go to Settings > HUAWEI FamCare, toggle on Background App Refresh, touch Notifications, enable Allow notifications, and select a notification mode.
