Remotely print files on a computer

Precautions

Only certain HUAWEI Windows computers support remote printing when the computer detects a printer or the two devices are connected via pop-up pairing. Other connection methods do not support remote printing.

  • Only HUAWEI Windows computers whose SKU is C233, C300, C243, C235, C245, C500, or C292 are supported. To view System SKU, press +R to open the Run window, enter msinfo32, and click OK. The System Summary window is displayed. In the Item list on the right, you can view the System SKU of the current computer.
  • When the printer is not connected to a network (the network status button blinks white), connect the computer to the printer in either of the following ways:
    • Computer detects a printer: Open Huawei PC Manager, log in with your HUAWEI ID, and go to My devices > Add device. Find the desired HUAWEI printer in the result, click CONNECT, and follow the onscreen instructions to complete the connection.
    • Via pop-up pairing: When the computer is about 1 meter from the printer, the computer automatically detects the printer and displays a connection dialog box. Click CONNECT and follow the onscreen instructions to complete network configuration.

Procedure

After the computer is connected to the printer, open the file to be printed in an app (such as Word), press Ctrl+P, and select the remotely connected HUAWEI printer. (The printer name is followed by "Cloud", for example, HUAWEI PixLab X1 xxxx Cloud, HUAWEI PixLab V1 xxxx Cloud, where xxxx is the printer S/N, which can be viewed on the back of the printer.) Set the printing parameters according to the onscreen instructions, and then start printing.
