Problem
Using the AI Life app for network configuration via a 5 GHz network for the printer fails.
Cause
The printer supports network configuration via 2.4 GHz hotspot, but does not support network configuration via 5 GHz hotspot.
Solution
- Method 1: View in Settings
Take a HUAWEI phone as an example. Connect your phone to a Wi-Fi network, go to Frequency, your device is connecting to a 5 GHz Wi-Fi network. If 2.4 GHz is displayed, your device is connecting to a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network.
, and touch the name of the connected Wi-Fi network to view its details. If 5 GHz is displayed next to - Method 2: View on the web management screen
The address of the web-based management page may be different from normal ones on carrier customized routers. Use the actual address printed on the nameplate on the bottom of the router or consult the carrier.
The following uses a HUAWEI router as an example:
- Connect your phone/tablet/computer to the router's Wi-Fi network, or use a network cable to connect the computer's network port to the router's LAN port. (If the network port has a WAN/LAN identifier, you do not need to distinguish between the WAN and LAN ports.)
- In the browser address bar, enter "192.168.3.1" and log in to the router's web-based management page. If you are using a phone/tablet to connect to the router's Wi-Fi network, touch in the upper right corner of the screen to switch to the computer version.
- Touch or click Terminal Management to view the details.
- For some routers, you can select a connected device from the drop-down list.
- Some routers can be viewed on the page.
