Checking whether Windows system is permanently activated
  1. Press Win + R to display the Run window. Enter "slmgr.vbs -xpr". (Please note that there is a space between slmgr.vbs and -xpr). Click OK.

  1. If a dialog box displays the message "The machine is permanently activated", it indicates that your computer has been permanently activated.

A Windows system that is pre-installed on your computer will be activated permanently once activated. If you want to install other systems, you will need to purchase an activation code from Microsoft.
