Managing Windows Defender

Windows Defender is an anti-virus software pre-installed in Microsoft and can update automatically.

When you start Windows 11 for the first time, Windows Defender will start automatically and scan for any malicious software. If you enable Real-time protection, your computer will scan all downloaded content.

We recommend that you use the pre-installed Windows Defender instead of third-party anti-virus software. Otherwise, Windows Defender will be automatically disabled, resulting in a loss of system files and causing the system to crash.

To disable Real-time protection, perform the following:

  1. Click on the taskbar, enter "windows security", and open Windows Security.

  2. Click Virus & threat protection.

  3. Click Manage settings.

  4. Disable Real-time protection.

You can disable this function for a short period of time. After a period of time, the system will automatically enable this function.
