My router is connected to an optical modem but I cannot connect to the Internet or there is a connection error

Optical or broadband modems from certain broadband service providers limit the number of devices that can access them. If your router is bridged to such a type of modem, when the number of allowed devices has been reached, new devices will be denied access to the modem to connect to the Internet. To resolve this issue, enable your router to automatically obtain an IP address, and connect all your devices to your router for them to access the Internet.
