Incorrect broadband account name or password

Perform the following to troubleshoot:

  • Click the eye icon in the password field to show the entered password. Confirm that the password is correct, including the capitalization and special characters.
  • If you have just removed the network cable from another router or computer, your broadband service provider's server may have not released the previous dial-up connection. In this case, wait for about 5 minutes and try again.
  • The broadband account may have been linked to the MAC address of the device that sets up the previous dial-up connection. In this case, try the following depending on the device type: If the dial-up device is a computer, use the MAC clone function of the router to clone the MAC address of the computer, and then dial up again. If the dial-up device is a router, use the MAC clone function of the router, manually enter the WAN MAC address of the router, and then dial up again.
