Do I need to burn-in my HUAWEI FreeBuds/FreeLace series and WATCH Buds earphones? |
It is recommended that you burn-in your new earphones. Burning-in earphones refers to powering on and then using new earphones for a period of time so that the audio quality improves (for example, audio sounds softer), leading to an optimal listening experience. The electrical parameters of earphone components, such as the speaker, are unstable when the earphones are brand new, and gradually become more stable after burning-in.
Generally, there are three burn-in methods, which are as follows:
- Natural burn-in: Choose songs you like, and use the earphones to play them at a normal volume for about 100 hours.
- Noise burn-in: Use the earphones to play either white noise or pink noise at random and at a normal volume for one minute at a time, and then stop for five seconds. Repeat this throughout each day, over the course of a week. Make sure to rest the earphones for several hours every day.
White noise: Noise having equal intensity at different frequencies. Pink noise: Noise having an equal amount of energy in each octave.
- Software burn-in: Search for keywords such as "burn-in" in a music app. The app will automatically play various types of burn-in audio sources, enabling the earphones to quickly achieve the desired sound effect.
Do not burn-in earphones at an excessively high volume, or for an excessively long time, to avoid damaging the speaker in the earphones.
