PDF edge cropping
The HUAWEI MatePad Paper local reader supports PDF edge cropping. You can use this feature to highlight some content or improve readability.
In the reader, touch the 
icon in the upper right corner to enable edge cropping. Drag the cropping box to adjust the cropping area as required, and then save the settings. The cropping effect will be synced to all pages.
- During the cropping, the page will be slightly zoomed out to facilitate your operations. Once the cropping is complete, the new page in the cropping box will be zoomed in to fill the entire screen, and the content outside the cropping box will be cropped.
- When the page turning mode is swiping up and down and there are two pages on the current screen, the page that occupies a larger proportion of the screen will be selected when you touch Crop. If the two pages have the same proportion, the first page will be selected.
- If the page has been cropped, you can crop it again, or restore it to the original state.
Contrast adjustments
HUAWEI MatePad Paper allows you to adjust the contrast of imported PDF files.
On the reading screen, touch the middle of the screen to display the menu at the bottom. Touch 
and drag the contrast bar to adjust the contrast.
PDF watermark removal
HUAWEI MatePad Paper allows you to remove watermarks from imported PDF documents.
On the reading screen, touch the middle of the screen to display the menu at the bottom. Touch 
to turn on the Remove watermark switch. If a message is displayed indicating that the watermark has been removed, then the watermark has already been removed. To restore the watermark, turn the Remove watermark switch off.
