If a secondary router has poor signal, change the Wi-Fi power mode from the default Standard to Max.
Scenario 1: The secondary router connects to a HUAWEI primary router using HarmonyOS Mesh+.
- Connect your computer to the router's Wi-Fi network (or to the router's LAN port using an Ethernet cable). In the browser's address bar, enter 192.168.3.1 and log in to the router's web-based management page.
- Click Manage Device. On the displayed page, locate and click the secondary router.
- When prompted, enter the router's login password and log in.
- Click My Wi-Fi. Set Wi-Fi power mode to Max and click Save.
Scenario 2: The secondary router connects to a non-Huawei primary router using a network cable or in Wi-Fi repeater mode.
- Connect your computer to the secondary router's LAN port. In the browser's address bar, enter 192.168.3.1 and log in to the router's web-based management page. If the login fails, go to step 2. If the login is successful, go to step 3.
- Set the computer network adapter to a static IP address in the 192.168.3.* network segment. In the browser's address bar, enter 192.168.3.1 and log in to the router's web-based management page.
- When prompted, enter the router's login password and log in.
- Click My Wi-Fi. Set Wi-Fi power mode to Max and click Save.
