Health community in the Huawei Health app

To stay up-to-date with your loved ones' health, you can join Health community to follow up on the health and fitness metrics of your family members and friends, while sharing your own data with them as well.

Adding a member

  1. Open Huawei Health and go to Me > Health community.
  2. Touch Add members and then Scan to add or Add via HUAWEI ID, to send an invitation to a family or friend.
  3. On the invited party's phone: Go to Huawei Health > Me > Health community, touch in the upper right corner, and select Members.
  4. On the invited party's phone: In the Pending list, agree to the request, select the health and fitness data you'd like the other party to view, and touch Done.

    • A maximum of 20 members can be added.
    • To delete a member, select the member on the Health community screen, touch in the upper right corner, and select Remove.
    • The creator of a Health community cannot delete themselves.
    • To add a member, their HUAWEI ID must be logged in to the Huawei Health app and must have been registered in the Chinese mainland. HUAWEI IDs registered outside the Chinese mainland cannot be found or added.

Viewing others' health and fitness data

  1. Go to Huawei Health > Me > Health community and select a member to view their data.
  2. Touch another profile on the top of the screen to switch to the corresponding member's data screen.
  3. If a member's health or fitness data is abnormal, you will receive a notification on your phone. You can also touch Health reminder records to view history notifications.

  4. Touch Weekly health reports to view the report details of the selected member.

  • Before using this feature, make sure that Huawei Health has been updated to its latest version.
  • Your wearable device will track your blood pressure, SpO2, heart rate, sleep, stress/emotions, and more data when being worn. Note that only value ranges are available for heart rate and SpO2 data. A daily average is displayed for stress levels, instead of all data records of the day. Sleep data doesn't include naps. The displayed blood pressure data is from your latest reading. The health data supported in Health community varies between countries and regions.
  • Currently, you can only view the generated and shared data after a member is added to Health community, but not any data generated before that.
  • You cannot disable Health community notifications or dynamic reminders (displayed as red dots) in the Huawei Health app.

FAQs

  1. After the inviter sends a request: The invited party does not receive the invitation, nor can they find the Health community tab on the Me screen of the Huawei Health app.

In this case, update Huawei Health to its latest version from HUAWEI AppGallery.

  2. A family member has joined Health community, but some of their health and fitness data remains unavailable.
    Possible causes are as follows:
    • They have not authorized you to view these specific types of health and fitness data.
    • Their Huawei Health app has not generated these specific types of data.
    • They have not uploaded these specific types of data to the cloud. In this case, remind the member to sync their health and fitness data to the cloud (by going to Huawei Health > Me > Privacy management).
  3. A family member has joined Health community, but some of their health and fitness data is unavailable on occasion.
    Possible causes are as follows:
    • Their Huawei Health app has not generated these specific types of data, such as due to not wearing their wearable device when sleeping, or not performing any SpO2 measurements.
    • Their data has not been uploaded to the cloud due to power-off or network issues.
  4. Health notifications are not pushed to the Notification Panel.
    Possible causes are as follows:
    • The System notifications switch in the Huawei Health app is not turned on. In this case, go to Huawei Health > Me > Settings > Notification management and check whether if System notifications is enabled. If not, toggle it on.
    • Huawei Mobile Services (HMS) is not installed. Health notifications are dependent on HMS. Please make sure that HMS has been downloaded and installed.
    • Huawei Mobile Services (HMS) does not automatically run in the background. Health notifications are dependent on HMS. Please make sure that HMS is set to launch by default. If you have installed any management software, such as Phone Manager, go to the software and set HMS to auto-launch. For details about how to do so, refer to the User Guide or the help document for the phone management software.
  5. A member's health and fitness data has been updated, but there's a delay in updating the corresponding data on the Health community screen.
This is because health and fitness data is synced periodically instead of in real time. The generated data will be synced to the cloud about one hour later. Other possible causes are as follows:
    • Data syncing fails due to network disconnection.
    • The network disconnection upon screen-off feature is enabled. When the screen is off for a period of time, the network will be automatically disconnected, resulting in data syncing failure. To improve data updating performance and reduce update delays, remember to perform the following:
    • Keep the network connected.
    • Disable the network disconnection upon screen-off feature. For more details, refer to the User Guide for your mobile phone.
    • Manually sync the data, by going to Huawei Health > Me > Settings > Sync data manually.
