Cycling monitoring |
When you are cycling, connect your phone or watch to the device, to make the device a cadence sensor when it's worn on the feet, or a speed sensor when it's installed on the spoke, in order to provide you with professional cycling data.
Setting the wheel size
You can select either of the following methods:
On your phone:
- Open the Huawei Health app, and touch Devices.
- Go to the device details screen, go to Custom, or select an existing Wheel size, and touch OK. , select
On your watch:
Press the Up button on your watch to enter the app list, go to Wheel size to set it.

- Attach a device to your foot.
- Open the Huawei Health app on your phone, and touch Cycle on the Exercises screen to start cycling monitoring.
You can also touch Workout from the app list on your watch, select Outdoor cycle or Indoor cycle, and press the Down button to start the workout.
- Your phone or watch will check the number of connected devices, as well as the wearing status, when you start cycling. If there is more than one device in the same position:
- The Huawei Health app will remind you to select one of the devices to connect to. The selected device will buzz, and its indicator will flash.
- The watch will only maintain a connection with the most recently-connected device and disconnect from other devices.
Ending a bike ride
On your phone:
Open the Huawei Health app, and touch the Stop button .
On your watch:
Press the Up button on your watch, and touch the Stop icon on the Pause screen, or press and hold the Up button.
After completing the workout, leave the device idle to save battery power.
Viewing data
Open the Huawei Health app on your phone, and touch Exercise records. You can also open the app list on your watch, touch Workout records, and touch the workout record you wish to view.
- The cycling data generated by watch-device connection will be synced to the Huawei Health app, once the watch is connected to the phone. You can view the synced data in the Huawei Health app.
- The Huawei Health app allows you to save, view, and share cycling records, including the cycling data from your device.
- During cycling, if the Bluetooth connection between the watch and the device is cut off for less than 5 minutes, they will automatically reconnect. In this case, the device data during the disconnected period will not be recorded. The watch and the device will not automatically reconnect if disconnected for more than 5 minutes.
- If your phone is disconnected from the device, they can automatically reconnect at any time. Data will not be recorded during the disconnected period.
