By default, the mouse's custom button is used for dots per inch (DPI) adjustments. You can press the button to adjust the DPI level of the mouse. A higher level indicates a higher sensitivity.
If the device connected to the mouse meets certain conditions, you can set the custom button as the ScreenHop switch, to enable or disable the ScreenHop feature.
ScreenHop allows you to switch seamlessly between devices by moving your cursor to the edge of the screen when the mouse is connected to multiple devices. To enable the ScreenHop feature, perform the following steps:
- Pairing your mouse with multiple devices, such as a computer and a tablet.
Connect the mouse to the devices via the wireless USB receiver. You can also turn the 2.4G/OFF/Bluetooth switch to
,and press and hold the Flash-Switch button. When a Multi-device indicator flashes quickly, move the mouse close to a device, and follow the onscreen instructions to complete the connection after the connection window appears.
- Setting Shortcuts on the mouse to ScreenHop on any device connected to the mouse.
- If you are using a Huawei computer running Windows, perform the following steps:
a Open Huawei PC Manager, and log in to your HUAWEI ID.
b Click
My devices, and find the mouse card that indicates a successful connection. (If the card prompts you to download the ScreenHop plug-in, follow the onscreen instructions to download it.)
c Click on the mouse card, click
Shortcuts, and set it to
ScreenHop.
- If you are using a Huawei device running HarmonyOS, perform the following steps:
a Open the Huawei AI Life app, and log in to your HUAWEI ID.
b Touch the mouse card that indicates a successful connection, touch
Shortcuts, and set it to
ScreenHop.
- If you are using a device not mentioned above, such as a non-Huawei device running Windows or a device running macOS, perform the following steps:
a Visit https://consumer.huawei.com/en/support/accessories/wireless-mouse/, find the ScreenHop client in the Software Download area, and download and install it.
b Open the ScreenHop client, select the mouse card that indicates a successful connection, click Shortcuts, and set it to ScreenHop.
- If you are using a Huawei computer running Windows, perform the following steps:
- Press the custom button, or click ScreenHop in the mouse card opened in step 2, to enable the ScreenHop feature.
To disable this feature, double-press the custom button, or disable ScreenHop in the mouse card.
The mouse card interface will vary depending on the app in use.
- On the ScreenHop settings screen, click on and drag the device cards to adjust the positional relationship between the devices, which adjusts the direction in which the mouse cursor moves when you use ScreenHop. (When you move the cursor to a device, This device will be displayed as the device name on the device card.)
- If the devices connected to the mouse are the same as those connected to your Huawei keyboard, you can enable ScreenHop on any of the connected devices, and enable Keyboard follows mouse, to use your keyboard together with the mouse.
- If the mouse is only connected to a single device, the ScreenHop feature will not be available.
To switch the custom mouse button back to the DPI adjustment feature, open the mouse card on any connected device, and set Shortcuts to DPI.
