Weather information on my HUAWEI watch/band is inconsistent with that on my phone

  • Weather information displayed on your watch/band is obtained by the Huawei Health app from the specified service provider. The service providers for the Huawei Health app and your phone are different, and therefore weather information displayed on your watch/band and phone may be slightly different.
  • If the local weather changes significantly, the weather on your watch/band may differ from that on your phone due to one updating before the other.

To obtain accurate weather information on your watch/band, try the following:

Grant the location permission

To sync or update the weather information on your band/watch, make sure that your phone's network is stable, location permission has been granted, and you have allowed the Huawei Health app to access your location.
  1. To enable the location permission on your phone (here a HUAWEI phone is used as an example), hold down on the location icon on the status bar or control panel, and enable Access my location.

  2. To allow the Huawei Health app to access your location (here a HUAWEI phone is used as an example), go to Settings > Apps > Apps, search for and open the Huawei Health app, go to Permissions > Location, and select Allow all the time.

  • These steps may vary on phones of other brands. For details, contact your phone manufacturer.
  • For HUAWEI or third-party Android phones, it is recommended that you keep HMS Core (Huawei Mobile Services) up to date. For details about how to update HMS Core, refer to this.

Manually refresh the weather information

Wearable-based weather information is not updated in real time. In most cases, weather data is updated every three hours, and the update will stop if the device detects that you are asleep. If you travel elsewhere while wearing your watch, the weather information on your watch/band may be inconsistent with that on your phone. To resolve this issue, make sure that your wearable stays connected to your phone via Bluetooth and that your phone has stable access to the Internet. Access the wearable-based Weather app and refresh the data as prompted. Alternatively, swipe down on the Huawei Health home screen to have the data updated, after which the latest weather data will be automatically synced to your wearable.

If the issue persists, please call the Huawei consumer service hotline for further assistance.
