Read or write exceptions occur after I connect an optical disk driver to my HUAWEI MateBook E Go through a docking station |
Problem
When a HUAWEI MateBook E Go is connected to a USB optical disk driver (ODD) through a docking station, they repeatedly reconnect, the ODD cannot be read, or files cannot be burnt after being transferred to the ODD.
Cause
The external ODD is under heavy load, but the power of the USB port on the docking station is low and cannot stably support the running of the ODD.
Solution
- If your external ODD is connected through a USB-C port, use a USB-C-to-USB-C cable to connect it to your computer.
- If your external ODD is connected through a USB-A port, use a USB-A-to-USB-C adapter to connect it to your computer.
- If the issue persists, take your device and proof of purchase to an authorized Huawei Customer Service Center for assistance. (Tip: Feel free to call the Huawei consumer service hotline for assistance before going to a Huawei Customer Service Center.) We will do our best to address your needs.
Thanks for your feedback.
