When the stylus is used on a tablet with protective film attached, the lines that you draw may not be perfectly straight. You can use the calibration feature to straighten these lines.
- This feature is applicable to the following tablets: HUAWEI MatePad 11.5 2025, HUAWEI MatePad Mini, HUAWEI MatePad 11.5 S 2026, HUAWEI MatePad Pro 12.2-inch 2025, HUAWEI MatePad Pro 13.2-inch series, HUAWEI MatePad Pro 12.2-inch 2025, HUAWEI MatePad Pro 12.2-inch, HUAWEI MatePad 11.5"S, HUAWEI MatePad Air series, HUAWEI MatePad 12 X, HUAWEI MatePad Pro 2022 (including 11-inch and 12.6-inch), and HUAWEI MatePad 11-inch 2023.
- Before using this feature, please update your device to its latest version.
- When using this feature, make sure that the tablet is not being charged, and that the calibration area is at least 2 cm away from the edge of the screen.
- Avoid touching the tablet when drawing circles, and keep the stylus perpendicular to the tablet.
- A worn out pen tip cover or pen tip may also distort the lines that you draw. It is not recommended that you use a pen tip cover to protect your screen. If the pen tip is worn out, remember to replace the old tip with a new one.
- You can also use this method to straighten your lines when there is no protective film attached to your tablet.
- Open any writing screen, for example, a note in Notepad.
- Use the stylus to draw circles clockwise for at least 3 seconds. The diameter of the circles should be greater than 3 cm.
- Once you're finished drawing, you can test the line effects on the current screen. If the line effects are still unsatisfying, try drawing the circles faster and for a longer period of time, to calibrate the line once again.
