If your phone/tablet supports fast charging/SuperCharge, but the HUAWEI charger cannot provide fast charging or SuperCharge at 100 W, 88 W, 66 W, 65 W, 55 W, 40 W, 25 W, 22.5 W, or any other power, try the following troubleshooting steps:

  1. Check the laser engraving on the product and find the output specifications. Check whether your HUAWEI charger supports SuperCharge.

  1. Use a data cable which can tolerate a current greater than or equal to the charging current required for the device to be able to support fast charging. The cable's rated current should be displayed on its surface, on the packaging, or on the manufacturer's official website.

  • The E-mark chip has been integrated into the USB-C port, so that the data cable can intelligently detect and match the device. This ensures that the output voltage and current are compatible with different devices. Update your phone/tablet to the latest EMUI or HarmonyOS version.
  • Some models do not support E-mark detection, and "Max xxW" is not displayed when you charge your device. For further details about the charging specifications, contact your local Huawei customer service. It is recommended that you use the standard charger that comes with your device.

  1. When your phone/tablet enters Smart Charge mode, the charger may stop charging your phone/tablet. To learn more about this function or how your phone/tablet can be fully charged immediately (by disabling Smart Charge), refer to Phone or tablet stops charging when the charging progress reaches 80%, and other FAQs related to Smart Charge.
  2. Check whether there is any debris or dirt in the ports. Carefully clean the port and check the connection again.
  3. If the issue persists, back up your data and take your device, charger, data cable, and proof of purchase to an authorized Huawei Customer Service Center for assistance.

  • The charger supports several charging protocols. The phone may not initially enter the Huawei SCP charging protocol. Therefore, the SuperCharge icon (two connected large bolts) may appear on the screen after the fast charging icon (a big lightning bolt next to a small lightning bolt). This is normal. Eventually, the charged device will enter SuperCharge mode.
