Touch gestures will not work when your watch screen is locked. This feature is useful for preventing unintended operations in scenarios such as when you are swimming and water touches the screen.

Locking the screen

Swipe down on the watch face (watch home screen) and touch Lock screen.

HUAWEI WATCH Series models support manually adding the Lock screen feature to the shortcut menu (which is accessed by swiping down on the watch face).
