Common Operations for the Cover Screen of the Phone

After unlocking the cover screen with your face or fingerprint, you can view notifications, play music, answer calls, and much more directly from the cover screen without having to unfold the device.

Unlock the Phone Cover Screen

You can unlock the cover screen using either of the following methods:

  • Fingerprint unlock: Press an enrolled finger on the fingerprint sensor zone.

  • Face unlock: Press the Power button to wake the cover screen, then face the front of the phone cover screen for it to verify your face. If verification is successful, the screen will unlock.

Phone Cover Screen Control

After unlocking the cover screen, you can perform the following on its home screen:

Swipe right to access the event card list and view or manage apps that are running, such as for switching songs.

Not all apps support event cards.

Swipe left to access the service widget list and touch to use the services of the service widgets that have been set, such as for taking selfies with the camera.

Swipe down to access the Notification Center and view notifications.

Answer or Reject Calls on the Cover Screen

When a call comes in, you can swipe right on the profile picture or on the cover screen to answer the call, or swipe left to reject it.

After answering a call, you can:

  • Touch the button on the right to switch between audio output channels, including Bluetooth earphones and hands-free devices.

  • Touch the button on the left to mute or unmute audio.

  • When a call is answered on the cover screen and the device is not connected to an external device (such as earphones), speaker mode will be automatically enabled.

  • You can go to Notification Center on the cover screen to view missed calls and return calls.

Control Music Playback on the Cover Screen

After unlocking the cover screen, you can swipe right on its home screen to display the music playback card, where you can play, pause, or switch songs, and perform much more.

To prevent misoperations, you can only adjust the volume when your device makes a sound.

View Notifications on the Cover Screen

After unlocking the cover screen, you can swipe down on its home screen to enter the Notification Center to perform the following:

  • Swipe up or down in the Notification Center to view notifications. You can touch a notification, then unfold your device to view details.

  • Swipe left or right to return to the previous screen or the home screen.

  • Touch Clear all at the bottom of the Notification Center to clear all notifications.

To disable notifications from an app, go to Settings > Notifications & status bar > Manage all and turn off the switch next to the app.
