Cleaning my HUAWEI FreeClip earphones

It is recommended that you clean the earphones on a weekly basis, especially the mesh, charging port, metal contacts, and parts that touch your skin when you wear the earphones.

Use alcohol wipes or antibacterial wipes to clean the external surface of the wireless earphones. However, to prevent moisture or water from entering the earphones, do not use these wipes to clean the ear caps, charging contacts and ports, speaker meshes, mesh, or speaker holes.

Cleaning the FreeClip earphones

  1. Cleaning the charging case, port, and charging contacts:
    • Clean the charging case with a soft, dry cloth. If necessary, use a wet wipe containing 70% alcohol to clean the external surface of the charging case. Make sure that the charging case is dry before putting the earphones back inside.
    • Use a soft, clean, and dry brush to remove any grime from the charging port.
    • Use a clean and dry cotton swab with a pointed tip to gently wipe the surface of the charging contacts on the charging case.

    • Avoid using a wet cloth to clean the charging case, or exerting too much force, to prevent damage to the contact points or surface.
    • If the earphones have been exposed to sweat, shower gel, shampoo, or other liquids, or if you have worn the earphones during a workout, clean and dry the surface and charging contacts of the earphones before putting the earphones back in the case.
    • Avoid overstretching or bending the elastic connector when cleaning FreeClip earphones, as this may affect your wearing experience.
  2. Cleaning the holes and vents on the earphones: Use a clean and dry cotton swab with a pointed tip to gently remove any dirt and earwax from the holes, and then use a soft cloth to clean the holes.

If the issue persists, take your device and proof of purchase to an authorized Huawei Customer Service Center for assistance.

For details about the positions of the holes and vent, see Function buttons and ports of the earphones.
