Poor Wi-Fi or Bluetooth connection when using Wi-Fi and Bluetooth functions at the same time |
Problem:
When the user uses Wi-Fi and Bluetooth functions at the same time, the phone fails to connect to a Wi-Fi network, the network speed slows down, or the Bluetooth call becomes intermittent.
Cause:
This is because the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth modules of your phone share the 2.4 GHz frequency band and may interfere with each other when used at the same time.
Solution:
To resolve this issue, perform the following steps:
- Disable Wi-Fi or Bluetooth to avoid possible interference:
- If the Wi-Fi connection fails, disable Bluetooth and enable it again after your phone successfully connects to a Wi-Fi network.
- If the Bluetooth function is prioritized, temporarily disable Wi-Fi.
- Use your phone on the 5 GHz frequency band if possible when connected to a Wi-Fi network. (On some phone models, the 5 GHz Wi-Fi and 2.4 GHz Bluetooth still share the same antenna.)
- Open Settings and search for Reset network settings. Touch Reset network settings to reset the network settings. (Note: This operation may delete the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth settings.)
