My HUAWEI phone/tablet screen turns on automatically

1 Check whether the Raise to wake feature has been enabled

Search for and access Raise to wake in Settings, and check whether this feature has been enabled. If it has been enabled, the screen will automatically turn on when you pick up your device and the screen is off. Disable this feature if you no longer need it. (If your device does not display the Raise to wake menu, it indicates that this feature is not supported.)

2 Check whether the Notifications turn on screen feature has been enabled

Search for and access Notifications turn on screen in Settings to check whether it is enabled. If it is enabled, the screen will automatically turn on when notifications are received. Disable this feature if you no longer need it. (If you're unable to find Notifications turn on screen, your device does not support this feature. Skip this step.)

3 Check whether the Always On Display feature has been enabled

If Always On Display is enabled and set to Smart or Tap to show, the screen will automatically turn on after you gaze or touch the screen. You can enable or disable this feature as required.

Open Settings, search for and access Always On Display, touch the four-dot icon in the upper right corner, and set Always On Display as needed.

If you're unable to find Always On Display, your device does not support this feature. Skip this step.

4 If this issue remains unresolved
