Activating the pre-installed Windows 10 system

Before you begin, check whether Windows is activated.

  1. Press Win and R at the same time to display the Run window and enter "slmgr.vbs -xpr" (please note that there is a space between slmgr.vbs and -xpr). Click OK.

  2. When you see a dialog box displayed that reads The machine is permanently activated, it indicates that your computer is activated.

To activate Windows on your computer, perform the following operations:

Method 1:

Your computer is pre-installed with Windows 10 Home edition. Make sure that your computer has Internet access for Windows to be automatically activated.

Method 2:

  1. Connect your computer to the network. Right-click the Windows icon on the desktop and select Windows PowerShell (Admin). Alternatively, search for "Windows PowerShell" in the search box on the taskbar and select Run as administrator.

  2. Enter wmic path SoftwareLicensingService get OA3xOriginalProductKey and the product key will be displayed in the following format "XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX".

  3. Click the Windows icon, click the Settings icon on the desktop, go to Update & security > Activation, then click Change product key.

If you are unable to activate Windows, back up your computer's data and press F10 during startup to restore your computer to its factory settings. Once completed, try to activate Windows again.

Please note that data in the (C:) drive will be cleared after the system is reset. Back up your data stored in this drive beforehand.
