Turn on the system protection feature

The system protection feature serves like the OneKey Ghost function on your computer. You can disable the feature if you do not need it.

Once you have enabled this feature, system files and settings on your computer will be protected and saved. Original versions of files will be saved alongside edited versions. The system protection function helps you protect your system and personal files by taking snapshots, called Restore Points, of your files. If you go 7 days without creating any Restore Points, the system will automatically set up Restore Points for you.

Enabling system restore feature can be helpful if you find yourself in these situations:

1. Your computer runs slowly or isn’t working properly, you can enable the system restore feature to revert your computer to a more functional point.

2. If you accidentally modify or delete some files or folders, you can enable this feature to revert your computer to a previous point.

To enable the system restore feature:

  1. Click the File Explorer icon on the taskbar, right-click on This PC, and select Properties.

  1. Click System protection.

  1. Select the drive you want to protect and click Configure....

  1. Click Turn on system protection and click OK. Follow the onscreen instructions to complete the settings.

Note: If you do not want to enable this feature, select Disable system protection.
