Problem

The HUAWEI body fat scale can't measure Heart rate, and the Heart rate icon on the scale turns on and displays "----".

Cause

1. Heart rate measurements are not available on the body fat scale or not applicable to special user groups.
2. Your measurement posture is not correct.
3. You've stepped off the scale before the measurement is complete.

Solution

1. Before you start:
   • HUAWEI Scale 3 Bluetooth version doesn't support heart rate measurements.
   • HUAWEI Scale 3 Pro does not support heart rate measurements for people under 18 years old.
   • If you're using a HUAWEI Scale 3 Pro, make sure to step onto the scale barefoot and pull the handle up, for full-scale data measurements including fat percentage and heart rate. Otherwise, only your weight and BMI will display on the Huawei Health app.
   • If the weight difference between an adult user and a minor user is less than ±3 kg, a HUAWEI Scale 3 Pro can't automatically identify the user and therefore can't measure the heart rate. If an adult user needs heart rate data, the user can start a heart rate measurement in the Huawei Health app.
2. Adopt the correct standing posture during the measurement.

   

   The Heart rate measurement will be affected in any of the following situations: you are not barefoot when stepping on the scale, your heels, legs, knees, or other parts of your body are next to each other, your feet are not in full contact with the electrodes on the scale, or you use the scale back to front.

   During the measurement, step on the scale barefoot with your body facing the display. Make sure that your legs are apart, your heels are not next to each other, and your feet are in full contact with the electrodes on the scale.

3. Don't step off the scale before the measurement is complete.

   If you step off the scale before heart rate data is displayed, the measurement will fail.

   Please don't step off the scale until the heart rate icon turns on and the measurement is complete.
