If you are unable to turn off the flashlight by pressing the volume down button after turning it on on the lock screen, perform the following steps to troubleshoot:
1. Enable the Ultra snapshot feature
- Open Camera, go to the Settings screen, and check that Ultra snapshot is set to Take a snapshot.
- If you cannot find Ultra snapshot, your phone does not allow the flashlight to be turned off by pressing the volume down button.
2. Stop music playback on your device
During music playback, pressing the Volume down button will decrease the music volume. Stop music playback and try again.
3. Set the Battery optimization of the camera to Don't allow.
Open Settings, search for and touch Battery optimization, touch Don't allow, select All apps, find and touch Camera, and select Don't allow.
