Setting password-free sign-in with a Microsoft account on a HUAWEI computer
Setting password-free sign-in with a Microsoft account on a HUAWEI computer |
In Windows 10 20H1 and later versions, password-free sign-in with a Microsoft account (that is, using Windows Hello to sign in) is added to Windows 10 and Windows 11. This option is enabled by default.
If you sign in using this feature with your Microsoft account, the computer screen will have the following changes:
- On the sign-in screen, there is no option to sign in with a Microsoft account and password. You can only sign in with a PIN or fingerprint.
If you have forgotten your PIN, click I forgot my PIN under the PIN text box (or go to Sign-in options > the PIN icon (
) > I forgot my PIN) and follow the onscreen instructions to change the PIN.
- Click the Windows icon and then Settings icon, and go to Accounts > Sign-in options. You can only see Windows Hello Face, Windows Hello Fingerprint, Windows Hello PIN, and Security Key. There is no Password or Picture Password option.
To disable this feature, perform the following steps:
- Click the Windows icon and then the Settings icon. Go to Accounts > Sign-in options.
- On the Sign-in options screen, disable Require Windows Hello sign-in for Microsoft accounts.
- To enable password-free sign-in with a Microsoft account, enable this option again.
- If there is no Require Windows Hello sign-in for Microsoft accounts option, restart your computer and try again.
- On the sign-in screen, click Sign-in options to sign in using your Microsoft account and password.
After the computer is restarted, click the Windows icon and then the Settings icon, and go to Accounts > Sign-in options. The Password and Picture Password options will be displayed.
