MMS messages can be downloaded only when the network is available. Check the following settings:
- Go to Tablet Manager/Optimizer > Data usage management > Network access > System apps and enable Mobile data for Messaging.
- Go to Auto-retrieve MMS to All networks. (Note: This operation may incur fees.) and set
Unable to manually download MMS messages
- If a SIM card that has received an MMS message is taken out and inserted into another card tray, the MMS message won't be able to be downloaded.
- MMS messages that were received more than three days ago are automatically deleted, and thus cannot be downloaded.
- Wait a short while, and download the message once again when there is a stable network connection.
- Check whether the MMS message is being downloaded during a call. If so, the download will be interrupted.
MMS messages don't download automatically or automatic downloads fail
Perform the following steps:
- Go to Stay connected while asleep. , and enable
- Go to Tablet Manager/Optimizer > Data usage management> Smart Data Saver, and disable Smart Data Saver.
- If you have enabled Uninterrupted gaming in Game Suite for a specific game, messages arrived during gameplay can only be downloaded manually.
If the issue persists
Insert your SIM card into another device and check whether the issue is resolved. If the downloads fail on that device as well, it indicates that the SIM card may be faulty. In this case, contact your carrier for further assistance.
