You can perform the following to resolve the issue:
Use Reset protection to verify the parent's HUAWEI ID to reset the password
If you have set your phone as the child's device and linked it with the parent's HUAWEI ID when you enabled Digital balance for the first time, you can reset your password and security question by using the Reset protection feature and verifying the parent's HUAWEI ID. To do so, follow the steps below:
On the password screen for Digital balance, touch Forget your password?, and choose to verify the parent's HUAWEI ID. You can then reset the Digital balance (Student mode) password after entering the parent's HUAWEI ID password.
Force Reset phone to disable Digital balance
- Power off your phone without connecting it to a USB cable. Press and hold the Power and Volume up buttons until your phone vibrates. Wait for 5 seconds to enter Recovery mode.
- Press the Volume up and down buttons to select the option to restore your phone to its factory settings, and press the Power button to confirm.
- After the factory reset is complete, touch the Back key to return to the Recovery mode screen. Touch the option to restart your phone for it to access the home screen.
- Performing Reset phone will disable Student mode (Digital balance), and all personal data in your device will be cleared.
(1) If Find My Phone has been enabled on your device, you will need to verify your HUAWEI ID during login after the Reset phone process. Otherwise, you cannot log in to the system. Exercise caution when performing this operation.
(2) If Reset protection has been enabled on your device, you will need to enter the parent's HUAWEI ID and password after the Reset phone process in order to disable Digital balance (Student mode). If you select SKIP, Digital balance (Student mode) cannot be disabled.
(3) If you have forgotten the parent's HUAWEI ID password, you can quickly reset the password on the Password Reset page.
- If your HUAWEI ID has been deleted, you will not be able to log in to your HUAWEI ID and use your phone again, as all your data has been deleted and cannot be recovered. In this case, it is recommended that you go to an authorized Huawei Customer Service Center for assistance.
- Performing Reset phone will disable Student mode (Digital balance), and all personal data in your device will be cleared.

If the issue persists, back up your data and take your device and proof of purchase to an authorized Huawei Customer Service Center for assistance.
