Using the screen recording feature of Huawei PC Manager on my HUAWEI computer

You can use the screen recording feature in Huawei PC Manager to record the screen with just one click. A maximum of 12 hours can be recorded each time. After Huawei PC Manager is updated to version 12.0 or later, it can record the computer's system sounds and microphone audio (such as ambient sounds and voice).

 
  • The screen recording operations vary depending on the PC Manager version.
  • Screen recording files are in MP4 format by default and cannot be modified.

Viewing the PC Manager version

Open PC Manager, click the four-dot icon in the upper right corner, and select About to view the current PC Manager version.

The version of PC Manager is 12.0 or later

  1. Determine whether to enable the feature of recording system sounds and microphone audio (such as ambient sounds and voice) as required.
    1. Open Huawei PC Manager, click the four-dot icon in the upper right corner, and select Settings.

    2. Click Accessibility and turn on Microphone audio and System sounds.

  2. Use either of the following methods to open Control Panel.
    • Click to open the search box on the taskbar on the desktop, enter Control Panel in the search box, and open it.
    • Click the Control Panel icon in the lower right corner of the desktop to open Control Panel.

  3. Click the screen recording icon to start recording your computer's screen.

  4. Click the red timer button at the top of the screen to finish recording the screen.

  5. After the recording is complete, a video thumbnail is generated in the lower right corner of the desktop. You can click the thumbnail to browse the video or open the video's location.

  6. By default, the video is saved in D:\Huawei Share\Screenshot. You can modify the storage location.

The version of PC Manager is 11.X

  1. Click the Huawei PC Manager icon in the lower right corner of the desktop, and enter Notification Center in Huawei PC Manager.
  2. Click the screen recording icon in the lower left corner to start recording your computer's screen.

  3. Click the red timer button at the top of the screen to finish recording the screen.

  4. After the recording is complete, a video thumbnail is generated in the lower right corner of the desktop. You can click the thumbnail to browse the video or open the video's location.
  5. By default, the video is saved in D:\Huawei Share\Screenshot. You can modify the storage location.
