Drag-and-drop file transferring and editing via phone-PC Multi-Screen Collaboration |
Once Multi-Screen Collaboration is enabled between your phone and PC, the phone screen will display on the PC desktop. Phone documents can then be opened, edited, and saved using PC software. You can also drag files between your phone and PC to transfer or edit files.
Perform the following:
- Open phone files on your PC: Open a file (document, picture, audio, video, or compressed package) from the Files or Email apps on your phone, to view or edit it directly on your PC.
- Open phone links on your PC: Click a URL saved in Notepad on your phone, to open it in the PC browser.
- Drag phone files to your PC: In the phone window on your PC, click and hold a phone file until you see
displayed. Then drag the file to the desktop, or to a folder on your PC.
- Drag PC files to your phone: Select a file on your PC, and drag the file to your phone window, to save it or send it to a chat in a communications app, such as MeeTime.
- Edit files: Drag text, pictures, and audio and video files from your phone or PC to an app on the other device, for more efficient and effective editing. For example, you can drag a picture from your phone into an open presentation on your PC.
- Cross-device copy and paste: Copy and paste text between your phone and PC.
- Make sure that your phone is running EMUI 10.1 or a later version.
- This feature is only supported in specific versions of certain third-party apps.
