Huawei will invest 10 million USD into the development of its own ecosystem in Poland
Warsaw, October 15, 2019
Huawei will invest 10 million USD into the development of its own ecosystem in Poland. This declaration was made by Jefferson Zhang, Managing Director of Huawei CBG Polska, during the first Huawei Developer Day conference in Poland, which was held in Warsaw. During the event, Huawei presented details of its ecosystem based on Huawei Mobile Services (HMS).
Poland is one of the ten most important markets for Huawei in the world. That is why we are planning a significant investment in the development of our ecosystem here. In the first phase of the investment, we will spend 10 million USD on a partnership program encouraging developers and application owners to be present in the ecosystem with an emphasis on the Huawei AppGallery the official app distribution platform - said Jefferson Zhang, Managing Director of Huawei CBG Polska.
Participants of the event, which took place in the Praga Koneser Center in Warsaw, were presented with the details of the Huawei ecosystem and the possibilities of business cooperation within the AppGallery. Also, they were able to listen to representatives of most recognizable brands that are already present in the AppGallery and learn about the benefits of cooperation with Huawei.
HMS is Huawei's proprietary solution, which is the basis for the Huawei ecosystem, which includes services such as Mobile Cloud, Themes, Browser and AppGallery. The ecosystem is based on the technological layer - HMS, consisting of solutions such as ID Huawei Authentication, Huawei Push, Huawei IAP, Huawei Adds. Ultimately, Huawei's ecosystem will provide more benefits than competitive solutions, with an emphasis on creating added value for customers.
Our ecosystem is in the process of expansion. This is the best moment to join us, to enter the affiliate program when we invest in it with particular strength. Behind us is the first, successfully implemented, integration of the Yanosik application with HMS Core. Our ecosystem already gives our partners the opportunity to significantly increase their reach. Later this year, we will introduce three new services that will give even more opportunities to promote Polish content, not only in the country, but also globally thanks to cooperation with Huawei - said Justyna Jaworska, Huawei Mobile Services Operation Manager.
Representatives of companies such as Diet & Training by Ann, Yanosik, Ceneo.pl, Audioteka, Wirtualna Polska and blinkee.city shared their experiences from cooperation with Huawei.
The biggest challenge in my business is the content distribution. The prospect of international expansion that Huawei allows, cannot be overestimated - said Anna Lewandowska, founder of Diet & Training by Ann, member of Team Huawei.
It seems that creating a good product is the guarantee of success, but even the best product is not enough if there is no efficient distribution. The presence at Huawei AppGallery made us aware that we can consider markets that previously seemed to us to be out of reach - adds Tomasz Frontczak, co-founder of DietLabs.
Adam Tychmanowicz, President of the Board at Neptis S.A., creator of the online communicator for drivers Yanosik, talked during the event about the benefits of having active users, such as Huawei smartphone owners.
Huawei users of Yanosik are more open to technological novelties and innovations. They are more active and eager to share valuable information for drivers than others. What is especially interesting, is the fact that they drive safer and are also more generous, because they are more willing to support our developers than others by using "Put Coffee to the Developer" program available in our application - said Adam Tychmanowicz.
Already 30% of the users of WP Poczta and Poczta O2 are owners of Huawei smartphones. The challenge is to provide them with innovative, personalized and thus engaging features, especially since digitalization is moving at a dizzying pace - adds Paweł Milewski, Head of Mail Services at Wirtualna Polska.
Paweł Maliszewski, CEO of blinkee.city, whose app has been available in the AppGallery for three days, talked about the reasons why his company joined the Huawei official app distribution platform.
We have experience from entering the markets of seven different countries with our business. We know very well how difficult this process is. We would like to reach customers on the Asian market and we believe that the presence in Huawei AppGallery will help us with this. This is the way to open up to a new group of clients, while maintaining the potential of local clients - said Paweł Maliszewski.
Conference participants had the opportunity to experience the operation of HMS in practice - the live coding session allowed to learn the technical details of implementing the application to HMS. Developers could see how they can easily integrate their products with the Huawei ecosystem using HMS Core and what tools Huawei wants to support downloading its partners' applications from AppGallery.
Representatives of the Huawei Research and Development Centers presented innovations created by the brand, such as Huawei AI. Details of HMS Core, i.e. key services used by applications, such as logging in to the application using Huawei ID, Huawei Maps, Huawei In App Purchase, Huawei Location and many others were also presented.
