Huawei reaffirms in 2019 South Summit its commitment to mobile services in the new interconnected environment

• The company is expanding the possibilities of developers to integrate, monetize and promote their services and products within the ecosystem
Huawei has revealed during the 2019 South Summit event the growing relevance of services and applications for mobile device users, as part of an increasingly interconnected world in which the smartphone is the epicenter.
Jaime Gonzalo, VP Huawei Mobile Services Europe, said in his presentation “Huawei and the Grail of Darwin”: “we are experiencing a profound transformation in all areas, led by rapid technological development and mobility. In this sense, we want to offer from Huawei the best possible experience for smartphone users. To achieve this, Huawei Mobile Services has created a comprehensive ecosystem that includes different premium services, which can be enjoyed easily and quickly, in order to enrich the mobile life of users. ”
The ecosystem of services and applications of Huawei Mobile Services already has about 570 million active users per month. As part of Huawei Mobile Services, the Huawei AppGallery application platform stands out, which has reached 390 million active users per month, and with 180 billion downloads per year.
An ecosystem that opens multiple opportunities for developers
The Huawei Mobile Services ecosystem is open to join new applications and services and is being enhanced in order to expand the possibilities of developers to integrate them, and thus offer users an even better experience.
Within the framework of the HMS Ecosystem Incentive Program, HUAWEI advanced important developments that will benefit the partners of its ecosystem. On the one hand, it confirmed the global commitment of 1 billion US dollars of incentives for developers who, among other things, publish their apps and / or integrate HMS-core, in the form of promotion through HUAWEI mobile services, as well as those that are part of the intelligent ecosystem of HUAWEI.
“The mission of Huawei Mobile Services is to act as a bridge between our content creators, helping them to provide our users with an excellent experience and truly smart with Huawei smartphones. In this era marked by advances such as AI and 5G, we will help developers to focus on innovation with the full support of Huawei,” Jaime Gonzalo explained.
In addition, Huawei gave details about Huawei DigiX Lab, an initiative that offers ample possibilities for development and testing. DigiX Lab will be accessible for developers remotely from November 2019, thanks to the Cloud platform, and will feature HUAWEI Mate Series, P Series, Honor Series and Nova devices for testing. In addition, HUAWEI has confirmed that the first two offline DigiX Lab in Europe will be in Dusseldorf (Germany) and Dublin (Ireland), which will be available between Q4 2019 and Q1 2020. Currently, there are already more than one million registered developers, which represents an increase of 102% over the previous year.
In order to facilitate the adaptation of its innovations to the ecosystem Huawei has opened 14 HMS-Core capability (including Wallet Kit, Scan Kit, Map Kit, Ads Kit, etc.), 51 Services for developers. In fact, the ecosystem is fully compatible with all billing capabilities to offer developers, startups and large companies different options to monetize their applications, such as bank card options, direct billing to the operator, online billing or Wallet for the user (credit). It also facilitates In-App subscription, Premium downloads, and ad-funded options. All this, with 1v1 support to ensure that the activity is as simple as possible.
Additionally, comprehensive marketing solutions allow partners to incorporate telling the story they want about their product and amplify it thanks to the set of mobile services of the HUAWEI ecosystem, with which HUAWEI explores creativity in business, curiosity and experimentation. HUAWEI Assistant, new platform for intelligent distribution
On September 19, next to the new family of smartphones Huawei Mate 30 series, Huawei Assistant was launched, a new intelligent distribution platform powered by Huawei Ability Gallery. Huawei Assistant helps these services reach HUAWEI devices in a newer and smarter way, allowing them to achieve their own growth goals at a lower integration cost. In the coming months HUAWEI Assistant will be available for existing devices as well.
