If the issue occurs in a specific app, contact the app provider to check whether the server is faulty. If the issue occurs in multiple apps, perform the following steps:
Please update the app to its latest version in AppGallery and keep the system version up to date for the best user experience.
Use a stable network
Open Settings, search for and enable Display network speed to check whether the real-time network speed of your phone/tablet is stable.
When you are playing a game, if the network signal color on the game screen turns yellow (indicating a poor network) or the real-time network speed is slow indicated by the status bar on your phone/tablet, the game may freeze or go offline. Try the following methods to solve the problem:
- Play games over a Wi-Fi network.
- If you are not using a Wi-Fi network, enable the Zero Interruptions mode in the game to block incoming calls, SMS, and MMS messages that may affect network quality.
- Open Settings, search for and access AppAssistant, select Game Space, add games by touching Add, enable Zero Interruptions (by touching Uninterrupted Gaming) in the lower right corner or upper left corner, and ensure that Game Acceleration is enabled.
- When you are surfing the Internet in a fixed place, to avoid network freezing caused by switching between Mobile network and Wi-Fi, you can search for and access WLAN+ in Settings, and disable WLAN+.
If your device has a network issue, refer to 4G/5G Internet is slow on my HUAWEI phone/tablet or My phone/tablet has weak Wi-Fi signals, frame freezing issues, and slow network speeds.
Disable Power Saving mode
If your phone/tablet is in Power Saving mode, or has low battery level, it will degrade its performance to save battery power. It is recommended that you disable this mode and ensure that the battery level is higher than 20%. Go to Settings > Battery and disable Power Saving mode.
For some phone models, only Power Saving mode is available. The actual interface may vary.
Close apps running in the background or clear storage space
Running many apps at the same time will cause frame freezing. Before playing games, you can clear unnecessary apps to ensure that the system runs smoothly. The operation is as follows:
- Close background apps: Go to the recent tasks screen on your phone/tablet, and touch the trash can icon to close all apps running in the background.
- Clean up storage space: For details, please refer to A message is displayed indicating that the remaining storage space of my HUAWEI phone/tablet is insufficient.
Adjust the game image quality and refresh rate
If the image quality or refresh rate is too high, a large number of processor resources will be occupied, causing stuttering. It is recommended that you adjust the image quality and refresh rate and try again. The settings vary depending on the game.
Uninstall the app and install it again
To uninstall an app, touch and hold the app icon on the home screen and touch Uninstall. Then go to HUAWEI AppGallery to download and install the app again.
This will delete app data. It is recommended that you back up your app data in advance.
Prevent the device from overheating
It is recommended that you fully charge your device before playing games. Playing games while charging your device may cause it to overheat, and cause the frame rate to decrease and the game to run slowly.
If the issue remains unresolved
