Unable to project my screen while using a third-party app |
If you are unable to project your screen while using a third-party app, swipe down from the top of the screen to open Control Panel and check whether Wireless Projection is displayed.
- If not, please try wired projection by referring to Phone Projection Using a Wired Connection.
- If so, connect your devices by referring to Project Your Phone Screen Wirelessly. If the issue persists, perform the following:
The screen projection feature in a third-party app uses the DLNA projection mode by default. This means that the image on your TV can differ from that on your phone/tablet, so you can use your device freely while the TV plays the media file. This may be the source of the issue.
1. Check whether the third-party app supports screen projection
Certain third-party apps do not support screen projection. You can check whether there is a TV or projection icon on the video playback screen. If not, report your issue to the app developer for more information and assistance. Thank you for your understanding and support.
2. Restart the device
Connect your phone/tablet and TV to the same Wi-Fi, restart the TV, STB, and router, close the video app, and open it again to try screen projection again.
3. Disable Wi-Fi+
Wi-Fi+ may affect projection. Swipe down on your phone/tablet to display the search bar, search for and touch Wi-Fi+, and disable this feature.
Wi-Fi+ may result in one of the two connected devices switching to a Wi-Fi network that has a better signal.
4. Reset network settings
Open Settings, and search for and touch Reset network settings.
This will clear all Wi-Fi, mobile network, and Bluetooth data.
5. If the issue persists
If the issue remains unresolved or you encounter any difficulties, please contact the Huawei customer service hotline for assistance. We will do our best to address your needs.
