Unable to project my screen while using a third-party app

If you are unable to project your screen while using a third-party app, swipe down from the top of the screen to open Control Panel and check whether Wireless Projection is displayed.

The screen projection feature in a third-party app uses the DLNA projection mode by default. This means that the image on your TV can differ from that on your phone/tablet, so you can use your device freely while the TV plays the media file. This may be the source of the issue.

1. Check whether the third-party app supports screen projection

Some third-party apps do not support screen projection. Check whether the video playback screen has a button or icon for projection to a TV. If not, contact the app developer to report your issue by opening the third-party app, and going to Settings > Help & Feedback or Online customer service. Thank you for your understanding and support.

2. Restart the device

Connect your phone/tablet and TV to the same Wi-Fi, restart the TV, STB, and router, close the video app, and open it again to try screen projection again.

3. Disable Wi-Fi+

Wi-Fi+ may affect projection. Go to Settings, search for and access Wi-Fi+, and disable the feature.

Wi-Fi+ may result in one of the two connected devices switching to a Wi-Fi network that has a better signal.

4. Reset network settings

Open Settings, search for and access Reset network settings, and touch Reset network settings.

This will clear all Wi-Fi, mobile network, and Bluetooth data.

5. If the issue persists

If the issue remains unresolved or you encounter any difficulties, please contact the Huawei customer service hotline for assistance. We will do our best to address your needs.
