Can't project my HUAWEI phone/tablet via cable

In this case, try the following:

  1. Check whether your device supports wired projection: Try screen projection again as instructed in Phone Projection Using a Wired Connection.

    • The nova/Y Series does not support wired projection. It is recommended that you follow the instructions in Project Your Phone Screen Wirelessly.

    • The Pura 80 Series phones do not support wired projection. It is recommended that you project the screen again wirelessly.
    • Certain tablets do not support wired projection. It is recommended that you connect your tablet to a wireless network and try screen projection again.

If you wish to know more details, please contact the Huawei customer service hotline for assistance. We will do our best to address your needs.

  2. Check the cable and port: It is recommended that you use a high-quality HDMI or Type-C cable, and reinsert the cable to ensure that the connection is secure. Try different ports (one end of the Type-C to HDMI cable is Type-C, and the other end can be HDMI, DP, or MiniDP. Select a proper cable based on the port of the large-screen device).

  3. Check the screen content: Some videos may not support screen projection due to copyright issues. You are advised to try another video or playback source.
  4. If the issue remains unresolved or you encounter any difficulties, back up your data, and take your device, Type-C adapter cable, and proof of purchase to an authorized Huawei Customer Service Center for assistance. We will do our best to address your needs.
