There is no Fingerprint ID option in Settings on my HUAWEI phone/tablet

Problem:

There is no Fingerprint ID option in Settings on the phone/tablet. (To find the Fingerprint ID option, go to Settings > Biometrics & password > Fingerprint ID.)

Solution:

1. Check whether your phone/tablet supports fingerprint unlocking by visiting Huawei Consumer BG official website or contacting Huawei consumer service hotline.
2. Check whether the fingerprint sensor area is damaged.
   • If not, please contact Huawei customer service hotline. Alternatively, back up your data and take your device and proof of purchase to an authorized Huawei Customer Service Center for assistance.
   • If so, the fingerprint sensor may be damaged. Back up your data and take your device and proof of purchase to an authorized Huawei Customer Service Center for assistance.
