Viewing the S/N on a HUAWEI computer

Serial number ("S/N" for short) refers to a product's ID, and is also known as the machine number, authentication code, and registration code.

You can use either of the following methods to view the S/N of a HUAWEI computer.

If you still cannot find the S/N, go to a nearby Huawei Customer Service Center for assistance. Paper and electronic invoices and valid vouchers from e-commerce channels can act as warranty proof.

View it via the nameplate on the computer device body

You can find the S/N on the nameplate of the computer device body.

  • Laptops: The nameplate is usually attached to the rear cover.

  • Desktop computers: The nameplate is usually attached to the bottom of the chassis. Lay the chassis down carefully and check it.

  • All-in-one computers: The nameplate is usually attached to the bottom of the device body. Lay the device down carefully and check it.

View it via Huawei PC Manager (Windows computers only)

Open Huawei PC Manager, and then click Quick services (or My Services). The number next to Serial number is the S/N of the computer.

This method is not applicable to HUAWEI MateBook 1st generation devices because they do not support Huawei PC Manager.

View it via the CLI (Windows computers only)

  1. Press Win () + R. In the displayed Run dialog box, enter "cmd" and click OK.

  2. Enter "wmic bios get serialnumber". In the query result, the number under SerialNumber is the S/N of the computer.

View it on the BIOS settings screen

  1. During the power-on process (before the boot logo is displayed on the screen), press and hold F2 immediately to enter the BIOS settings screen, the number next to Serial Number is the S/N of the computer.

  2. After you view the S/N, you can close the BIOS settings screen in either of the following ways.
    • Press Esc. In the displayed dialog box, use arrow keys to select Yes.
    • Click Esc Exit in the lower left corner of the screen. In the displayed dialog box, click Yes.

If you are using a HUAWEI 2-in-1 laptop, in addition to the preceding method, you can also access the BIOS settings screen by powering off the device and then pressing the Power button and Volume up button simultaneously until the BIOS settings screen is displayed.

View it on the computer package

You can find the S/N of the computer under the barcode on the computer package.
