Insufficient virtual memory may cause some programs to stop running when the program occupies too much disk space, slowing down the reading and writing tasks, and compromising computer's performance. In this case, it is important to customize the size of the virtual memory on your computer.
- Enter This PC in the search box on the taskbar and open this app.
- Right-click any blank area on the This PC screen and click Properties.
- Click Advanced system settings and then Settings... under Advanced.
- Click Advanced and then Change....
- Uncheck Automatically manage paging file size for all drivers. Select Custom size: and set your desired sizes after initial size (MB): and Maximum size (MB):. Then, click OK.
