Why this issue occurs
The watch/band time is delivered by the phone system. After receiving the time, the watch/band system may take 1 to 2 seconds to set the time, leading to a slight discrepancy.
If your watch/band has not been connected to your phone, or has not been linked with the Huawei Health app, the time on your watch/band may differ from that on your phone with about five seconds of error every 24 hours.
- HUAWEI WATCH 3/4/5 Series devices support independent time syncing. You can enable the eSIM service on your device and maintain a stable network connection.
- If your phone uses the 24-hour format and your watch uses the 12-hour format, you can open your watch, go to Settings > System & updates > Date & time, and turn on the switch for 24-h to change the format. Time format changing is not supported in Ultra-long Battery Life mode.
Time on my watch/band is not synced with that on my phone or the difference in time is substantial
- Make sure that your watch/band is properly connected to the Huawei Health app. If your watch/band is disconnected, tap CONNECT, swipe down on the app home screen to refresh the screen, wait until data synchronization is complete, and check whether the time is normal.
- Check the watch face used on the watch/band. You can replace the watch face and check whether the time is restored.
- Add the Huawei Health app to the background protection list on your phone.
If the Huawei Health app is cleared from the background on your phone, the watch/band will be disconnected from your phone and the time will not be synced. It is recommended that you add the Huawei Health app to the background protection list on your phone.
- If the issue persists, unpair your watch/band from your phone, pair them again, and see if the issue is resolved.
- If none of the above resolves the issue, back up your data and take your device and proof of purchase to an authorized Huawei Customer Service Center for assistance.
