Unable to measure heart rate on my HUAWEI watch/band |
When the watch/band is not charged in a timely manner after power-off due to a low battery level, remains disconnected from the phone for an extended period, or becomes disconnected after a forcible restart, time synchronization will fail on the device. In such cases, the heart rate service would not function properly. To get the feature working again, you'll need to pair your wearable again with your phone or with Huawei Health.
If your watch/band fails to measure heart rate or frequently displays the prompt "Check that the watch is on properly and try again." or "Check that the band is on properly and try again." during a measurement, perform the following to troubleshoot.
Take your device off and put it on again properly
Fasten the strap about one finger width above your wrist bone to ensure a snug, secure fit that isn't loose enough to cause the device to slide up or down your arm.
Enable Continuous heart rate monitoring
Go to Huawei Health > Devices, touch the connected device and then Health monitoring, and enable Continuous heart rate monitoring. Check whether the issue is resolved.
Check the heart rate indicator
If the device is properly worn but still cannot measure heart rate, check whether the heart rate indicator on the rear case is flashing green. If not, restart the device, restore it to its factory settings, and try again.
Once your wearable device is restored to its factory settings, all your personal data will be cleared, transportation card migration will be triggered (if the transportation cards support migration), and access cards and bank cards will be removed. Please exercise caution when performing this operation.
