[HUAWEI] Unable to link my kids watch, and a message is displayed in the HUAWEI FamCare app |
During the linking process, one of the following messages is displayed on the login screen in the HUAWEI FamCare app:
- "Watch's SIM card number is the same as your phone's HUAWEI ID phone number" is displayed
- "Watch HUAWEI ID and phone HUAWEI ID are the same" is displayed
- "XX has already been registered to a non-child account" is displayed
- "To manage more settings, log out of your current account (HUAWEI ID...) and in to the main admin account." is displayed
- "Linking..." is displayed
- A message is displayed asking me to link my phone number
- "Unable to link due to cross-region restrictions." is displayed
To link the kids watch to your phone, you'll need to log in to the HUAWEI FamCare app with a different HUAWEI ID from that used on the kids watch. The HUAWEI ID on the kids watch can be used for chatting with parents and friends, as well as for data backups and transfers.
"Watch's SIM card number is the same as your phone's HUAWEI ID phone number" is displayed
This occurs when the HUAWEI FamCare app and watch are logged in to the same HUAWEI ID. Go to Change phone's HUAWEI ID > Account center > Log out, and then log in to the correct parent's HUAWEI ID.
"Watch HUAWEI ID and phone HUAWEI ID are the same" is displayed
This occurs when the HUAWEI FamCare app and watch are logged in to the same HUAWEI ID. Touch Log in with watch phone number to enter the QR code scanning screen, to proceed with linking, and enter a correct watch HUAWEI ID.
If you are a normal admin, change the HUAWEI ID used to log in to your watch in the HUAWEI FamCare app to the correct normal admin's HUAWEI ID and try again.
"XX has already been registered to a non-child account" is displayed

"To manage more settings, log out of your current account (HUAWEI ID...) and in to the main admin account." is displayed
If the message is displayed when you log in to the HUAWEI FamCare app using a HUAWEI ID that doesn't belong to the main admin, touch Log out and log in to the main admin's HUAWEI ID displayed in the prompt.
"Linking..." is displayed
After logging in with the child's HUAWEI ID, you'll need a stable network connection to sync data. If the message "Linking..." has been displayed for more than 1 minute, remove and re-insert the watch SIM card, restart the watch, and try again.
A message is displayed asking me to link my phone number
Touch Link, and follow the onscreen instructions to link the app with your phone number or security phone number.
"Unable to link due to cross-region restrictions." is displayed
- Ensure that the registration locations of the admin HUAWEI IDs and child HUAWEI ID for the kids watch and the country/region set on the kids watch are the same.
- Ensure that the registration locations of the watch's HUAWEI ID and the main admin's HUAWEI ID are the same, and then try linking once again.
