[HUAWEI] Contact doesn't sync or contact profile picture doesn't update on the kids watch

[HUAWEI] Contact doesn't sync or contact profile picture doesn't update on the kids watch

When adding a contact or changing the profile picture of a contact in Contacts within the HUAWEI FamCare app, make sure that:

  1. The watch and the HUAWEI FamCare app have been updated to their latest versions. For details, see Updating and Downloading and updating the HUAWEI FamCare app.
  2. The watch's network connection is normal. On the home screen of the HUAWEI FamCare app, touch Locate () to check the watch location. If the watch location is displayed, it means that the network connection is normal. If not, please refer to [HUAWEI] My kids watch has a weak or nonexistent signal, and no service for troubleshooting.

If the issue persists, you can troubleshoot further based on the following scenarios.

Contact doesn't sync to the watch

Open the HUAWEI FamCare app, delete the contact that hasn't been synced to the watch, and add it again.

  1. Delete the contact. Open the HUAWEI FamCare app, touch in the upper right corner, and select Contacts. In the contact list, touch and hold the contact you wish to delete, and touch Delete.
  2. Add a new contact. On the contact list screen, touch Add in the lower left corner, enter a nickname and phone number, or select one from the phone contacts, and touch "√" in the upper right corner to save it.

  3. After adding a contact, please wait for it to be synced. The HUAWEI FamCare app will sync the new contact to the kids watch via the network. Do not repeatedly add the same contact.

Contact profile picture doesn't update on the watch

  1. Swipe on the home screen of the kids watch to find and touch Phone, and check whether the profile picture you set has been updated successfully. If the watch stays on the Contacts screen when you change a contact profile picture in the HUAWEI FamCare app, exit the Contacts screen on your watch and access it again later, only then will the profile picture be updated.
  2. Try using another image as the contact profile picture. If the picture contains restricted content, the setting will fail.
