Restoring your HUAWEI CPE to its factory settings

 
  • A factory reset will clear the configuration parameters of the CPE. In this case, you will need to reconfigure the CPE.
  • The UI is subject to the CPE model, app version, and configuration page version.

Method 1: Via hardware

Power on the CPE and press and hold the Reset button for at least 2 seconds. Release the button when all indicators turn off. Wait until all indicators turn on again, which indicates that the factory settings have been restored. The following figure shows the Reset button position on the HUAWEI Mobile WiFi Pro (B535-836). The button position on other CPEs may vary.

Method 2: Via AI Life

  1. Connect your phone to your CPE's Wi-Fi.
  2. Open the AI Life app on your phone, and log in with the HUAWEI ID linked to your CPE.
  3. On the home screen of the app, tap the target CPE to enter the management screen, and tap Show more.

  4. You can restore the device to its factory settings in either of the following ways:
    • Go to Advanced settings > Factory reset, and tap OK.

    • Go to Link+ > Basic router information and settings > Factory reset, and tap OK.

Method 2: Via the web-based management page

  1. Connect your phone or computer to your CPE's Wi-Fi, or connect the device to the LAN port of the CPE using a cable. Enter 192.168.8.1 in the address box of the browser, and enter the login password to access the web-based management page.
  2. Go to Advanced > System > Reset, and tap Reset.
