Restoring your HUAWEI CPE to its factory settings
 
  • A factory reset will clear the configuration parameters of the CPE. In this case, you will need to reconfigure the CPE.
  • The UI is subject to the CPE model, app version, and configuration page version.

Method 1: Via hardware

Power on the CPE and press and hold the Reset button for at least 2 seconds. Release the button when all indicators turn off. Wait until all indicators turn on again, which indicates that the factory settings have been restored.

Method 2: Via the web-based management page

  1. Connect your phone or computer to your CPE's Wi-Fi, or connect the device to the LAN port of the CPE using a cable. Enter 192.168.8.1 in the address box of the browser, and enter the login password to access the web-based management page.
  2. Go to Advanced > System > Reset, and tap Reset.
