Restoring the HUAWEI Mobile WiFi to its factory settings
Restoring the HUAWEI Mobile WiFi to its factory settings |
After the factory settings are restored, the existing configuration of the HUAWEI Mobile WiFi will be lost, and the Wi-Fi name and password will be restored to the initial state.
You can restore the factory settings in any of the following ways:
Method 1: Using the RESET hole
Do not use sharp metal objects to press the RESET hole as doing so may cause damage to your device.
Power on the HUAWEI Mobile WiFi, open the back cover, and find the RESET hole. Use a needle-shaped object to press and hold the RESET hole for about 5 seconds until all indicators flash to restore the device to its factory settings. After that, the device will automatically restart.
The following takes HUAWEI Mobile WiFi 3 as an example.

- Open the AI Life app on your phone.
- On the home screen of the app, touch the target HUAWEI Mobile WiFi to access the management screen.
- Go to Show more > Advanced settings > Factory reset, and touch OK to restore the device to its factory settings. After that, the device will automatically restart.
Method 3: Using the web-based management page
- Connect your phone to the HUAWEI Mobile WiFi, and enter 192.168.8.1 in the address bar of the phone's browser.
- Go to Advanced > System > Reset, and touch Reset to restore the device to its factory settings. After that, the device will automatically restart.
